Brittany Freeman is the creator and owner of Tone Barre. Brittany’s passion for health and fitness came at an early age when she took her first ballet class as a 3 year old. Brittany spent her adolescent years training as a classical ballet dancer, studying on a full scholarship at The Wooden Floor (formerly known as Saint Joseph Ballet) and at the age of 16 was afforded the opportunity to train for a year at The Boston Ballet School. At 18, Brittany performed as a guest artist with the Anaheim Ballet prior to an ankle injury that ended her budding career.
Brittany continued to teach and choreograph dance throughout her years at Chapman University where she graduated with degrees in Accounting and Business Administration. Realizing her true passion was fitness; Brittany began teaching pilates. Concurrently, she continued to explore new avenues to keep her body physically challenged as she itched for a workout option that would afford her the same combination of physical intensity and mental concentration that made her so passionate about ballet growing up. It wasn't long until Tone Barre was born!
Brittany holds a Pilates certification from Body Arts and Science International (BASI), a spinning certification from Mad Dogg Athletics and is a certified Lagree Fitness (formerly SPX Pilates) instructor.
